NatWest Cricket Club and NatWest CricketForce

23 March 2012

The NatWest Cricket Club team are doing a great deal for club cricket.  With the NatWest CricketForce weekend of 31March/1 April fast approaching, here is their report.

NatWest Helping Local Cricket

From NatWest CricketForce which started back in 2002 through to our brand new offerings NatWest’s Biggest Little Cricket Club and branch twinning, NatWest is proud to work with the England and Wales Cricket Board on a number of community initiatives. To bring these initiatives that help improve and sustain the future of the game together, we launched our own club last season. Now in its second year, The NatWest Cricket Club galvanises cricket fans across England and Wales to support their local clubs and reward members with the chance to win great cricketing experiences. Membership of the club is free and fans can sign up at natwest.com/cricket

How much do you love your cricket club…?

This season, the NatWest Cricket Club is encouraging local clubs to engage their members, friends, family and wider community in order to bring unique cricketing experiences to their club via the NatWest Biggest Little Cricket Club campaign.  Club captain Michael Vaughan is leading the search to find the most loved and worthy local cricket club in England and Wales.  Make sure your club is registered for CricketForce and they could win a team of cricket specialists who’ll use their talents to help make a huge difference to your club during NatWest CricketForce weekend on Sunday 1 April 2012.

For more information please view the document attached to this email, and keep checking the website over the summer for great new prizes as part of the NatWest’s Biggest Little Cricket Club campaign, including the chance for clubs to take on a team of legends at their home ground!  Details are here.

NatWest branch staff support local clubs

In 2012, we’re going to be strengthening our relationships within the cricketing community further by twinning a selection of NatWest branches with their local cricket club. Branch twinning will provide clubs with year round support including staff participation at NatWest CricketForce and NatWest CricketForce Fundraiser, financial advice and in branch promotion.

 About NatWest CricketForce

NatWest CricketForce has been running for 11 years and aims to help clubs get ready for the start of the season. Last year over 1900 clubs took part and saw members, volunteers, tradesmen and hundreds of NatWest branch staff rejuvenate club facilities. Helping to ensure each CricketForce event is a success, August Bank holiday weekends are now dedicated to the NatWest CricketForce Fundraiser. Clubs are encouraged to find innovative ways to raise funds that they can then invest in projects around the club.
