CCC and Albion partnership 2014

 

2014 sees the Albion Hat & Cap Co. brand repositioned to better educate the broader sporting community of its traditional roots, product and service spanning over 65 years.
 
Albion’s alignment with the Club Cricket Conference will assist in providing the cricket community in the UK with a custom headwear solution that encapsulates tradition and team unity. Furthermore, we are excited to work with the CCC in celebrating their centenary next year, and look forward to a continued relationship with both administration and its club members in fulfilling their headwear needs both on and off the field.

Club Cricket Conference Chairman, Alf Langley, welcomed the official partnership with Albion - "we are delighted to be associated with Albion who are a world renowned and reputable supplier of cricket hats and caps and we look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership".
 
This year, we have expanded our product offering by introducing an off-field range in Presentation Caps as seen with the ICC Test and ODI Team of the Year presentation, and introduced a ‘mini replica’ line which helped provide solutions to corporate entities. Our corporate portfolio now includes the Melbourne Cricket Club, Mazda and the Commonwealth Bank to name a few.

On the field, we launched our Performance Cap – a baseball style cap which is well received by clubs who prefer this style cap over the traditional baggy. We launched our ‘Junior Baggy’, and partnered with clubs and associations to help drive their particular traditions from the junior entry level through to the seniors. This enabled the brand to become a ‘one-stop cap shop’, providing different styles and price points to facilitate the needs of the community. The introduction of our online store has seen clubs and associations design and purchase their caps in a seamless, three-step process – www.albionhatcap.co.uk. You can now purchase Albion caps in over 200 countries globally. 

The expansion continued in various other sports, including Super 15 Rugby teams who sought our services to develop their Honour and Milestone caps, and in Rowing with Harvard University, where we had the great privilege of manufacturing their Presentation caps for the Henley Royal Regatta in the United Kingdom. We continue to proudly supply national teams such as the Australian Cricket Team, Proteas, Black Caps, Wallabies, Socceroos and many state and provincial bodies with their caps.

In February 2014, we introduced our ‘Capologist’ blog as part of our Marketing and Communications strategy, which has seen immediate impact in our interaction with the community by providing valuable, engaging and educating content, as well as the opportunity for clubs to express their traditions and stories with each other. We encourage all clubs to be part of our online community and share the story of their club cap, because every cap carries a legacy.
