A New Insurance Product for Cricket Clubs
Club Officers may wish to be aware of a new insurance product devised for the bespoke needs of cricket clubs.
The new product, CLUBCRICKETCOVER, is available through sports insurance broker, Mead Sport and Leisure Limited ("Mead").
CLUBCRICKETCOVER provides cover for standard risks such Public and Products Liability and Employers liability. Additional cover can be added to the policy for other risks including Directors & Officers Liability. The policy, designed with the advice and support of cricketers, covers an extensive range of risks particular to the grounds, premises and use of a cricket club, such as damage to insured outbuildings, club houses, changing rooms, pitches, squares, stands, scoreboards and floodlights.
All new business and administration enquiries will be handled by Mead Staff who have a strong knowledge of cricket and the challenges UK cricket clubs face when looking for insurance protection. Insurance can be purchased directly, and exclusively, from Mead Insurance.
Clubs reuesting a quote for CLUBCRICKETCOVER by 30 April 2013 will have the chance to win £250 towards equipment for their club. Quotes can be obtained online or on 800 0850 261.
The new insurance product offers:
- Public/products liability cover– up to £5 million
- Employer’s liability cover – up to £10 million
- Directors and officers liability cover – up to £500,000
- Damage to playing surfaces
- Damage to electronic score boxes and bowling machines
- Bar and liquor license
