Vulture fails CCC

The magnificent Egyptian Vulture which has been circling the ground on each day of the tour failed to bring its customary good luck to the CCC as they lost for the first time to a strong Oman A side by 3 wickets. Oman A was composed of many players who were fulfilling their 7 year residency qualification to play for Oman.

CCC batted first and made 286 for 7 in 40 overs. Richard Hindley was not out 83 from 62 balls. Min Patel made 68 from 57 balls and together with Richard put on 160 for the 7th wicket. James Cramp made 47 from 50 balls.

In reply Oman A scored 290 for 7 from 38.4 overs. Twinkel made 117 from 87 balls for Oman A. Tom Deighton again impressed with his off spin taking 3 for 47.
